Join our comprehensive cup takeback scheme
Defra has announced that it will soon become mandatory for any company that sells fibre-based composite cups, and employs 10 or more full time equivalent employees, to provide a dedicated bin for the separate collection and recycling of cups. This will also be accompanied by a data reporting requirement.
In addition, consumers are becoming more environmentally conscious, favouring businesses that are moving towards sustainable change.
To help you easily comply with the new legislation, take away the data burden and provide a consumer facing solution, we have designed a new Cup Takeback Scheme.
The Cup Takeback Scheme offers two levels of membership, one for businesses obligated under the new legislation, and another for those outside the obligation who still wish to provide a cup recycling solution to their customers. To support this, Valpak has launched the Voluntary Cup Takeback Membership Scheme, designed to help businesses prepare for compliance with new legislation, ease the data burden, and offer a consumer facing solution.
